Yoga is an ancient Hindu mind-body-spirit discipline combining movement and poses with breathing.  The Sanctuary Wellness Center is blessed to have two yoga instructors, Amy Hope-Gentry and Kimber Hyatt!

 

Amy Hope-Gentry

 Yoga Instructor, Level III Reiki Master & AromaTouch certified

Amy has been teaching yoga since 2012.  

She is a certified E-RYT 200 yoga teacher, serving Frederick, Clarke & Loudoun County VA, and currently teaches public, private & corporate yoga classes. 

Her passion is to share the positive effects yoga has had upon her life in hopes of continuing that positive effect among others.

Ayurveda + Yoga = AyurYoga

Ayurveda teaches that balancing the elements in our body is key to maintaining health. As the seasons change, so do the elements with the greatest influence on our bodies. This class will adjust accordingly to help us to feel our best all year long using asana (postures), pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation as tools to bring about and maintain our best health.

Kimber Hyatt!

Kimber Hyatt trained to teach yoga in 2012 in Austin, Texas under Gioconda Parker. By the end of that year, she had moved to Shepherdstown, WV where she began teaching at Jala Yoga. In 2015 she began the Ayurveda Health Counseling program at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health. By May of 2017 she had completed the program and committed to sharing her practice of Yoga & Ayurveda to her community, and surrounding areas.

Kimber strives everyday to live her practice, and believes that correct diet, lifestyle practices and energy management are the pillars of a healthy life. She hopes to be a living example of how Ayurveda works, and can work for every body.
